Casual all the Way

Ever wondered how to pull off a military jacket? Jean Pierre is here to tell us this is an art, but one that you can learn quickly and easily.

The breakdown:

- simple white t-shirt
- simple grey jeans
- white plimsoll shoes
- grey military jacket
- grey men’s bag
- dark grey scarf
- several pendants, one from steel, one representing a black cross

While it looks complicated, I assure you that, once deconstructed, this bespoke suit  is a piece of cake.

The core of this great-looking bespoke suit  is actually one that you can reproduce without any fashion sense whatsoever. The white t-shirt, jeans and the white athletic shoes are probably something you already have in your closet.
As you can see, there’s nothing fancy neither about the military jacket nor the men’s bag. They are of exact same color and they most likely don’t cost that much. Yet, this look will probably draw way more attention than that of an over-sized suit worn buy some rich dude. Seriously.

But why in the world would Jean Pierre choose to wear such monotone colors? Good question and I have an answer for that.

First off, he IS wearing white. White is great as it complements everything. Second, he “compensates” the lack of color by accessorizing. In fact, there are three ways you can stand out in style:

- color
- patterns
- accessories

If you’ve got one or two out of three, you’ll stand out.

So Jean Pierre does stand out. But not so much, right? The thing I like about his attire is that he’s trying to stand out without appearing to. It’s like he just threw on a few random clothes and went out. To me, this is what really makes the outfit cool.

Standing out while giving the impression you’re not trying to do so is the highest form of style. And, if you’re a serious style student, I’m sure you’ll let me teach you.

One last thing: look at Jean Pierre’s face. He’s so relaxed that one would say he was born wearing this bespoke suit . The point I’m trying to make is that the outfit should always reflect your inner self.

If you’re the relaxed, super-casual type, go for a look like Jean Pierre’s. If you’re the businessman type, go for a cool sports jacket and a pair of leather loafers.
